Project Pilot Genoardo Pre-feasibility and multidisciplinary seminal study for the social and financial inclusion of the Muslim communities living in Sicily and the implementation of the Islamic finance principles in Italy
This study has required extensive researches in the fields of urban planning, sociology, history, Islamic finance and economy and the relation between civil code and Shariah
The PPG postulates the use of interest rate-free financing and microcredit systems and proposes the creation of a Shariah-compliant Mediterranean Development Bank. It stands out in Europe for the number of sources used, for the extent of the arguments it deals with and for the originality of the investment solutions that it proposes. It is widely recognized as having proactively contributed to the debate on new forms of citizenship for the Muslim communities living in Western societies
